Species

On a geological timescale the Anthropocene has rapidly accelerated species extinction, threatening everything from apex predators to gut bacteria and sperm production.  Estimates of 40% species loss from climate change alone pale into insignificance in light of trends emerging under what is now called the Sixth Mass Extinction Event, 75%.
